BRITTNEY “Britt” GEORGE
I am a licensed psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, mentor, and practice owner with 15 years of experience in the mental health field. My strongest desire is to support the unburdening of people from external & internal barriers and foster liberation through one being their most authentic Self.
My work is grounded in insight- and depth-oriented psychotherapy, which means we look beyond symptoms to understand the experiences, relationships, and survival strategies that shaped them. Together, we'll explore the patterns that keep showing up in your life, the beliefs you've had to carry, and the parts of yourself that developed to help you survive difficult circumstances and histories. Often, Your Truest Self is protected beneath layers of adaptation, survival, and inherited expectations.
I believe our symptoms often make sense when we understand their story. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" we'll ask "What has helped you survive?" Through curiosity, compassion, understanding of systems, and a strong therapeutic relationship, we'll work toward healing that goes beyond managing symptoms to creating deeper self-understanding, emotional freedom, psychological abolition, and more authentic ways of living and relating.
Whether you're navigating trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, identity questions, or generational wounds, therapy can become a place where the unconscious becomes understood, and you can begin living in greater alignment with who you truly are.
